bertineso comcast bought out road runner a while back, which really didn't change anything except my ip. now it looks like they are raising the price of internet-only service from $45 to $60 a month (and they will start charging for this crappy cable modem). i started to look at other services but it looks like a land line, dsl and internet service would be even more than $60 a month. i guess i didn't realize that my internet was actually cheaper than anything out there.
oh, another option is to get "basic" cable which with the cable internet would also be $60. it would be nice to be able to watch heroes without standing next to the tv holding the antenna up. i have to converse with Eric over this.
Update:
So it looks like we are going with the internet + basic cable. while we are at it we are going to move about routers, the mp3 server and other stuff.
this feels like a boring post, BUT I DON'T CARE
