Foods to Avoid

The list of foods to avoid while pregnant is insane. Between the "offical" list and all the internet rumors it seems like you can't eat anything. Not that I am paying too much attention to these lists.

BTW, one of the items on the internet rumors list? Pinneapples. WTH?

The mind set is "There is a (very small chance) this will harm your baby. If something happens won't you wish that you did everything that you could have to prevent that bad thing from happening"?

The thing that gets me is the rule about soft cheeses. So, you aren't really supposed to eat unpasteurized soft cheese. However, most of the cheese in the US is pasteurized, you have to look for cheese that isn't pasteurized. So many people are totally anti-soft cheese without cause!
