Overwhelmed
Aug. 1st, 2012 07:33 pmI am overwhelmed. We still don't have all of Eric's stuff out of the closet and most of the stuff that we do have out we put in our storage room because it was taking too much time to move it into his house. Zach starts school in less than a month and we need to clean out the closet, do some patch work, paint it, put carpet in and put a light in. Then I can move my fabric over so we can finish cleaning out the spare bedroom, sell the chest of drawers and wardrobe, and get a desk. The final step will be moving the computers and the various sundry in.
On top of that I thought I was finished cutting this new quilt I am
Working on but I did my math wrong and I should have cut twice as many blocks. They are easy but it is annoying. I am, however, making good progress on finishing things this year. I am going to try and finish two quilt this month and start quilting my sisters quilt.
Side thought: maybe I could start pulling out my fabric before the closet is done. This stuff could happen asynchronously, right?
This weekend is the family garage sale part two. I am pretty excited about this since part one went so well. However, I am worried that we are going to get it set up on time and that I am going to be out there al day doing all the work. Sigh.
The last thing I am worried about is that I am still not done with the thank you cards. Why can't I just power through the last ones? Argh!

Date: 2012-08-02 04:16 am (UTC)We had a handful of loose cards at our wedding that someone threw in one of the laundry baskets I was using to transport favors and such (without telling me or D). Post-wedding I was so wiped out and sick of weddings I just put the basket in the closet and didn't think about it until TWO YEARS later when I was cleaning the closet. Lo, there were about a half a dozen cards there with cash/checks. The thank you cards were very late and we ended up not cashing the checks because...well, it felt impolite after two years.
So you've still got plenty of time, see!
