Last weekend [livejournal.com profile] damncutekitty and I went to the Goodwill, the fabric store and then to the Apple store.

At the first stop I dropped off 16 bags of clothes leftover from the clothing swap.

At the second stop we bought the fabric needed for this costume from the Forbidden Planet. (That extra bit of fabric that the robot is holding isn't part of the dress).

At the third stop I bought myself an iTouch. I have a bunch of justifications for it which don't really matter other than I could afford it and I wanted one. However, it is pretty nice to be able to read the internet from the couch (or bed) and learn how mobile website work since I have been spending a lot of my time writing them lately. I even had a migraine on Sunday and I used it to watch Netflix while in bed. It was pretty awesome.

I think it is funny how you have to justify this stuff to yourself. You work hard, earn good money and if you want a toy you should have it.

I know, just unspent money has so much potential.

What is it that teacher's say about unspent potential?

Always remember that money is fiction.

There is a headache tracking app that is pretty nice. I also just like being able to lay in bed and read blogs in the morning.

I can carry it with me easier.

It was cheaper.

I can get a feel for what mobile sites are like with it. An iPad is more like a desktop when you are making a site for it.

the more i think about it, the more i think you're on to a novel idea. it's really just like an iphone without the phone/texting? hmm...

It is just like an iphone with out the phone/texting. I have found many places that have free wifi so I can pretend to have it.

I haven't read LJ on my main home computer in so long that I have been logged out of it. LOL.
