I finished my mom's quilt top. I am pretty happy with it even though there are some issues with it. However, I learned more about quilting and I am getting better.

Last night I washed and ironed the fabric for my next quilt. I am very excited to start it. This is the last one I am going to piece together before my machine quilting class. After the class I am going to finish these quilts and actually give them to people!

It is so bright and cheery! I need something like that for my room. We have chocolate brown. Which is all trendy... but doesn't help the dark dark winter feel!

Yes, I was thinking the same thing— I would actually consider quilts if they looked like that. And now they do look like that!

When I started looking at "modern quilts" I realized that they look so much different than I thought quilts looked like. It is much more about the fabrics and clean layouts than the traditional quilts.

OMG A LAP QUILT THAT IS WHAT I NEED. Right now I do the same thing with my big blanket but I have to fold it twice before it's the right size.
