I just dropped my parents off at the airport and I leave tomorrow. I feel like I should have planned this trip better and figured out what I want to do. I know I want to do the "Freedom Trail", hang out one whole day with [livejournal.com profile] avecvu and go to my cousin's wedding. I feel like I am going to have a ton of spare time but really, I know I won't. Maybe I'll stop at the library today and check out the guide to Boston to give an idea of what I won't have time to see. Ha!

So, I am at work now, my hope is to be out of here at 3:30. Then I just have to pick up a present, buy some cat food and pack before going over to Zach's house. It is rather nice of him to get up so early to drive me to the airport tomorrow. <3

I am still debating taking my work laptop. In my mind it is a toss up between my laptop and Eric's nice camera. I sort of would rather have the nice camera.

Dude, we'll totally do the Freedom Trail. I love the Freedom Trail. Just remember to bring an umbrella and good walking shoes!

Where are you staying again? I'll find out the easiest way for you to get into the city.

Yay! It looks fun and I don't mind rain at all.

This is where we are staying:
385 WINTER STREET
Waltham, MA, US 02451

My parents don't mind driving me to the public train station which is a couple miles away to save on time.

I also realized the USS Constitution is in Boston! However, I am thinking that would be a good sunday trip with my parents.

EEEE!!!! I am so excited. I just texted the number I have for you to make sure it is the right one. :D

I'm excited too!

It looks like there are a couple of train stations nearby. If you take the commuter rail in, it runs on a schedule. (here)

The green line appears to be nearby also, that'll run a bit more regularly. Also, less money.

Yup! The USS Constitution is in Charlestown. It's really neat. I went there on a field trip... I don't remember when, we went on a lot of Historical Boston field trips.

So yay! I'm so excited. Just give me a heads up as to what time/what train you're coming in on and I'll give you the best info on where to get off/go so that I can easily find you!

Day trip to Salem!

ETA: Ooh! The New England Aquarium is not to be missed and I did a Whale Watch cruise out there, too, that was awesome.

I considered taking her to Salem, but Salem in October, on a holiday weekend, is just a terrible idea.

I highly recommend checking out the Boston Aquarium while you're up there, especially if you like penguins. :)
