1. Eric should close on his house today, unless something weird happens. I am not going to assume anything until it is his considering how long this has taken to happen. He started this process in October last year.
2. I am feeling the need to declutter. Last night I went through my old mail art box and pulled out all the stuff that I thought Jens could use for his class room. I have a lot of stickers, colored pencils and random supplies. I also pulled out a half finished knitting project and knit backwards for three rows to fix my mistake. If I could remember the pattern I would finish it off and get rid of the last of my needles. I am pretty sure a lot of this has to do with the fact that Eric is going to be packing up his stuff in a few months to move into his new place and I really don't know what I have.
3. Remember the couple that we went to Korea to see their wedding? Well, they are having a baby pretty soon and Jong-Hyeoun's mom is in town to help. My parents are having them over for dinner one day this week and it will be nice to see her.
4. I am trying to use up all my oatmeal and tea at work before I buy more. I figure this will take a couple weeks.
5. My mom bought me a TV stand at an Ikea sale last weekend. Now I really want Eric to move out so I can set it up. The only problem is then I would have to buy a tv.
6. I am on the fence about getting a new car. I don't think my car is clunky enough for the cash for clunkers bill and despite
gwangi's fears I don't think it is in that bad of shape. I'll have the shop look at it with the next oil change and see what is wrong with it. I really like not having a car payment.
7. I NEED TO WORK ON MY BATHROOM SOON. I just need to get the motivation.
8. I also need to pack for Montana. This week is so busy!

Date: 2009-07-21 02:08 pm (UTC)My 6 year old Protege has a combined mileage of 22. Not enough to qualify. Bummer, because for $4500, I'd totally buy a new car.

Date: 2009-07-21 03:26 pm (UTC)If memory serves, you have a Saturn. My brother is head "automotive technician" at the Saturn off of Hwy 61 and 694. He'll tell you exactly what it needs, what will eventually need to be replaces, and what you can ignore. Just ask for Dave.

Date: 2009-07-21 09:23 pm (UTC)Peachy-keen oatmeal:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 cup water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cardamom
1/4 tsp. ginger powder
1/2 Tb. butter
1-2 Tb. brown sugar
1/2 peach, diced into cubes
a few pecans
Cook the oats, remove the heat from the oats and stir in the seasonings, fruit and pecans. Tastiness!
I usually double it for my husband to have some, too (and to use a whole peach.)
