Food is Packed

Jens and I went to the grocery store this morning and bought most of the food for the trip (we just need some dehydrated stuff from REI). Then he helped me get it all ready since it is nicer if you repackage it into lighter less bulky packaging. I then packed the food/equipment pack as best as I could and really want to try putting up the tent.

damncutekitty, I don't think we will use your tent. With only 5 going we will use our 4 person tent and the little two person one.

So jealous! I haven't been to BWCA is soooo long! That is going to be one large food pack for that long of a trip. Remember to hang it up in a tree! We had a bear break into ours once.... luckily he only took a couple of things... most of our food was dehydrated. But it made for an adventure!

we are lucky that we can fit it all into one pack. When I was a kid we would take two packs because we would have big groups on week long trips!

It's a little more bulky, but we found if we put the bread items in a cardboard box, they are less likely to get squished.

Oh...And remember to leave the RightGuard products at home.

Yeah, we put some of the bread in cardboard boxes but mostly I buy heartier bread because they hold up better in the pack. :D
