My hip hurts today. I went to the gym last night for the first time in a week and a half and decided to go running. I don't know why I try running, I always end up hurting either my knee or hip on my right leg. I am pretty sure it is left over from two years ago when I sprained both my knee and ankle trying to roller skate. I have never really gotten them back in shape. I need to go to some yoga classes but the good ones at the Y are at 7 am. I have issues with 7 am.

I am debating if I should keep my Y membership over the summer or not. It is nice to have it but I am going to try to bike to work this year once the salt is off the roads and I don't really need both. However, maybe if I try to bike to work 3 days a week and hit the gym twice a week? Hmm...

I have to go to the gym 4 more times before Sunday to get back on track. Other things I need to do this week: Buy Burning Man ticket, look into cheap bikes, figure out a good pepper to put in these cookies I am making, buy roller girl tickets and eat up the stuff in my fridge. Oh and not watch the last two weeks of BSG because I am watching them this weekend with friends!

Your hip and your knee? Bothers you after running? Sounds familiar. Might just be siatica. Try stretching before and after. Lay on the floor with left knee bent and put your right ankle on your left knee. Then pull your right knee as close to your left boob as possible. Hold for 30-60 seconds, switch and repeat as necessary. I have a lot of butt tension. *giggles* Seriously.
