Me: "...well I think he should combined the two upper units and then him and Clint (A good friend of Eric's) can be roommates and have room for a big screen TV. I think that would work out well."
Mom: "I have a weird question, is Clint gay?"
Me, Laughing: "No, Clint is not gay, he just likes to wear eyeliner and feel pretty."
Mom: "I just wondered because if Clint was gay than maybe Eric is gay, which would be ok but you know how mom's are the last to know."
Me: "Mom, none of your children are gay. They are just all very socially awkward"

Also, where did Eric get the money and credit to buy a house in this market. I think of him as such a youngster sometimes.

And so very true.

The house he is buying is a fourplex across the street from my parents that is being sold for 65K. The loan is some neighborhood rejuviation loan and the property is bank-owned and he is getting 30K in loans to fix it up. All-in-all it is a good deal and he is taking advantage of it. From Iraq.
