Sometimes, in the course of fixing things, I run across a font tag in our code base. This weirds me out since it has to be 7 or 8 years since that was recommended.

Ahhhhh!!!!!!! I have nightmares about this. Especially when a client says, "I want it to attract attention. Maybe we can make it blink and scroll across the screen." (o_0) Yeah - and then we'll put a revolving hamster gif at either end. Great idea.ImageImageImageImage

I tend to use font tags for colour and size on things like LJ and Vox, where style can behave unpredictably. On my own site, where I control the stylesheet, I CSS everything.

I rarely use any styles on LJ. Everything else I use CSS.

But on the other hand, I'm not gonna mess with CSS for something small.

I will. Actually CSS is usually easier than the other stuff.

The big issue is that if it is a professional website and this is what you are doing for a living, you should mess with CSS.

Oh if you're a pro, for sure. There's CSS on my non-pro websites. I mean if I'm like replying to a comment on LJ I'm not gonna be CSSing it.
