I biked to work. It took about an hour but would have taken less time if I

  1. hadn't fallen while trying to get on my bike

    1. Had to fix my fender

  2. hadn't gotten lost after trying a different route than the one I had mapped out

    1. river road really does end
    2. it is Logan, not Morgan that goes through

  3. was in better shape

    1. *puff*puff*

Otherwise it was pretty easy. It was 11.1 miles and I averaged 12.3 mph (I am out of shape). About a third of the ride was right along the river, which was beautiful. I took a quick shower when I got to work but I didn't want to wash my hair because it takes forever to dry, I didn't think I would get so sweaty. Oh well.

I am going to take a different route home. The route looks like it would be around 15 miles but almost all of it is on trails.

I am bringing shampoo tomorrow.

Congratulations on your ride to work! It took me about 50 minutes my first day because I hadn't worked out an efficient route yet. It's cool that you work in a place where you can shower at work. I just have to pat the sweat off my face when I get to work. ;-)

An hour for 11.1 miles? That sounds pretty good to me. Maybe I have low standards, but I consider that in shape! Congrats!

So, you're biking all the way / round trip today?

One thing I really miss about the midwest is being able to ride my bike. Riding in my neighbourhood is a major fitness hurdle.
