My permanent-traveler's brain says sailing lessons, just because so many times I've been excluded from a free ride to somewhere cool because of not having sailing skills. Sailing skills are like the driver's license of the surface traveler's world.
Me, with no money: "Where you guys headed?" Guy on boat: "Africa, maybe. We'll see." Me: "Is it possible I could hitch a ride to We'll See?" Guy: "Sure - you know how to rig a blah blah blah?" Me: "Er... not exactly." Guy: "Do you at least know how to tie a blah blah knot?" Me: "mmm... well... no." Guy: "Hmm, well, we do have room for one more, but really you need at least basic sailing skills."
I cannot tell you how many times I've had that same basic conversation. I would jump at the chance to be able to answer "of course" to those questions next time. Seriously, you can get on just about any boat for free if you're useful to the crew.
I tend not to drink coffee in the morning. I like it with my afternoon snack.
See, I have always wanted to learn to sail and there are so many lakes in Minneapolis to learn how to do so. It is actually possible I would take both classes. Still... I live in a pretty landlocked area and am as unspur of the moment as it gets. :)
I only like coffee with brunch, it tastes better at brunch, I don't know why.
