I know, but I'm not likely to do that every time I want to wash dishes, which is what I'd need to do. As it is, I boil the brush every so often.

Oh, I don't microwave it every day. Just every few days when it gets a little stinky. :)

I just be sure to rinse it out really really well each time I'm done using it and let it dry. That helps keep the bacteria at bay.
