bertinewell, after many days of back and forth between all parties, hoopty will pull through since his frame is not bent. he is getting a new engine, some new support beam things, and his muffler is getting fixed.
of course this is after pretty much everyone involved told me he would be totalled so i was looking at new, awesome cars. alas, this is better for now.
he will now be called bionic hoopty.
