I am craving brussel sprouts pretty often now. I have always loved brussel sprouts and [livejournal.com profile] gwangi makes them so very well, even though he doesn't love them as much as I do.

I remember when I was a kid and my mom would make brussel sprouts and she would have to divide them up for us because we would fight over them. I think it is because they were mini food. Plus she knew how to make them without overcooking them.

Now I am sitting at my desk thinking about how delicious they are. I would go to the store and buy some but I don't think my coworkers would like it if I made them in the break room microwave. I guess I can wait until I get home to eat them. Plus the streamer basket is easier to cook in than the microwave.

Mmm...

Brussel sprouts ARE so good. Your body must be craving some of their many wonderful vitamins or something.

I'm convinced that the only reason *all* people don't like brussel sprouts is that some have only ever had them cooked to mush.

Yeah, it is so easy to overcook them and have them be really bitter. However, they are so good when you don't get them as mush. I love the texture of them.

I didn't discover the joys of Brussels sprouts until a few years ago. I like them roasted with olive oil and walnuts. Classy!
