Quilts & Babies

So, it seems like everyone around me is expecting. It is pretty exciting (though a little sad for me). Anyways, my best cousin forever is having a baby in April. I am really happy because they have been trying for four years. Anyways, I am going to make this baby a quilt.

Last week I won some fabric which I am going to use. I just need to get one more fat quarter for the quilt pattern I am using and a good neutral background fabric.

I am still slowly making the rainbow quilt but I haven't been in a sewing mood lately. I have been reading a lot and it is hard to sew and read at the same time. Ha!

Also, avecvu I need to get to a real computer before I comment on your quilting post. :)

I cut out all the pieces for my lavender eye pillows at the cabin this Thanksgiving and pressed them in prep for sewing. It felt very gateway drugish toward quilting. I'm right there, I'm just not ready to step over the line yet.

I have grand plans for after Xmas which include the tardis and my first quilt. It's a long winter, so I figure I have time.

My gateway sewing was pillowcases. I love making Zach batman pillowcases.

A tardis quilt would be awesome! Do you have an idea of how you would lay out a tardis quilt?
