Dear Affinity (my bank),
Thanks for telling me that when I get a new debit card because the old one is so worn out that it really isn't working that you change the number on it. I would have just lived with it for the six months instead of worrying that stuff was not being paid.

You are great other than that.

The only time I have gotten a new card is when I get it in the mail when it expires. It is always the same number. I have never needed to get a new one before.

I just wished they had told me so I could have made the decision instead of just noticing that!

Normally, yes, but I just got my new corporate card from work and was pretty shocked to find that the number was the same -- just the expiration date and CVV had changed.

Spire doesn't do that. AND, they print out a brand new card while you wait. Amazing.

They would have printed out a brand new card for me while I waited but I never got to the bank to do that so I ended up calling for it.

I am not attached to the number, I just have this feeling that something is being auto paid with it!

I've always gotten an immediate notification if an auto-pay fails, so hopefully you'll be fine.
