So I guess Peta is using tables for layout on their websites:

Their main site is sort of correct!

Seriously, tables means they won't get in search engines correctly nor is their site very accessible for visually impaired users.

I had no idea tables were so lame. Then again, I stopped studying web design around 2002. :-(

Even in 2002 they weren't the way to do things! However, I am mostly just shocked that a new website was written with tables like that. I am not even sure I could write one anymore!

While animal cruelty is horrible, I agree with Bertine. In the information age and in the realm of the internet, organized and searchable information is crucial. If people do not find what they want in less than 3-5 seconds, they lose interest and go other places. Yes, the site will still have its die hard PETA patrons, but they would get more support from casual surfers if they organized their site better.
