Hey, people that get migraines. I just got back with a new neurologist and she seemed concerned that I only ever get migraines on my left side. So, I was wondering. Do you get migraine only on one side of your head or does it happen on the other side of your head sometimes.

I don't ever remember having a migraine on the right side.

I can't really describe it in terms of "where" - I guess if you forced me to say where I thought the migraine was, I'd say it's a very blurry cloud somewhere behind my nasal cavity, often spreading into my jaw. Or sometimes it just feels like my whole head is exploding.

My migraines are more "what" than "where" - rather than being able to say "it's behind my eye" or whatever, it's more like "this is a visuals one" or "this is a paralysis one." Not all my migraines even involve pain.

Yeah, the pain isn't even the big issue for me. The topamax has really helped with many of the non-pain parts of the migraines. It is so nice. However, I can "feel" it in the left side of my head but not in the right side. Not always pain but sensation. I rub my eye a lot and my left nostril feels stuffed up.
