Hey, people that get migraines. I just got back with a new neurologist and she seemed concerned that I only ever get migraines on my left side. So, I was wondering. Do you get migraine only on one side of your head or does it happen on the other side of your head sometimes.

I don't ever remember having a migraine on the right side.

I traditionally get my migraines on the right side behind my right eye that make my cheeks hurt and spread to the forehead. Sometimes, they are bilateral.

However, according to like every definition I've read, migraines can be both unilateral or bilateral.

Yeah, that is what I have read also. However, she is the doctor that has been doing this for a long time so I am going to trust her, I just thought it was odd.

Because I always get them on one side she is going to do an MRI of my neck to rule some other stuff out.

I think a scan is always a good thing to rule things out.
