Remember this account in "negative standing"? Well... when I was checking my credit reports I was informed that it is scheduled to go into good standing as of August 2010. Yay! I should hold a party for finally getting that off my credit report.

The other thing I learned? I haven't used one of my credit cards since September of 2009. I wonder if they close them after a while. I suppose I could put something on it to keep it open. I know it is good to keep old accounts around but it seems like so much work to use it.

I had some old accounts roll off my credit report, and my score went up 50 points-- it was very exciting.

Credit cards don't close unless you call them and tell them to close them. If you have a lot of them, then it doesn't look that good on your credit, but the only danger of having a couple that you don't use is that you could lose track of them in a move.

Isn't it funny the things we find exciting?

I only have two credit cards, so I am not that worried about it. I just don't use this one because the other one has a better interest rate and is much easier to pay (I can pay it on my credit union's website).

This is good stuff, worrying about money is the suck.
