bertineToday marks a year since I went on my first official date with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
gwangi. We went on a sort of date about a month before where I talked a lot and it turned out that he thought "I could date this girl if she didn't talk so much". Good thing we got to hang out at many other social events so he learned I am not always like that.
Our first date was to Hoban, a Korean restaurant in Eagan. Since I wasn't sure it was a date I asked on the way home and he said it was. We became pretty serious quickly after that and this year has flown by. We have gone camping twice. We've gone on a few overnight trips. We have been to Billings twice. We have eaten at a lot of good restaurants and made a lot of good food together. We have laughed a lot and watched many movies together. Zach has taken care of me through many headaches and a couple deaths. We have met each other's families. He has moved in and one of my cats has become more his than mine. He bought me a crockpot because he worried that I didn't know how to cook for myself.
He is the person I look forward to going home to every single day and who I am very glad to be building a life with.
Last night we went to Duplex for dinner to celebrate and I had the potato gnocchi. It was so very wonderful. I was in potato heaven!
