Dairy

A bunch of people I know are giving up diary or at least talking about it. Maybe I am lucky or something but I haven't ever noticed a problem with eating dairy. Wheat, yes, dairy, no.

Anyways, here is a poll for you:

[Poll #1379125]

Also, I lost a bet and now have to make gumbo.

Barring an allergy, there is no way I will ever give up my cheese!

Exactly! I eat so much cheese and yougurt. It is a mainstay in my diet.

I put that I restrict my intake, but that's not really true. I don't drink milk - I have an intense dislike for the taste. However, I use half & half in my coffee and cook with dairy pretty often. And there's ice cream, of course - I don't eat it much but it's nice to have.

I find that if I take in much milkfat it makes my sinuses really stuffy and I like to breathe, so aside from my half & half, most dairy is skim or low-fat.

I don't drink plain milk but that is a taste issue. I also don't eat much ice cream but I don't really like it.

Oh, and cheese - how could I forget that? Can't live without it.

I adore dairy products. I probably should eat less, but only because they make up so many of my calories!

I restrict my intake of it due to lactose intolerance. I can usually get away with eating a little cheese here and there if I take a Lactaid. I'll probably eat pizza for the rest of my life whether it's good for me or not. :-)

For me anyway, I've noticed that trying to keep in good shape has a positive effect on everything else. Like, when I work out regularly and get enough rest my body seems to be able to process any kind of food that much better, you know? If I'm gonna meet my friend Jason for (ridiculously cheesy) pizza over in Brooklyn Center, I always make sure to get a really good workout in before, and then the next day.

Despite the lactose intolerance, I eat dairy. Lactaid makes this a possibility and I don't leave home without it!! I also realize that dairy is high in calories, but it's basically my kryptonite.

I've noticed that sometimes dairy will bother me and sometimes it won't. I almost never eat ice cream anymore due to bad experiences, but I do like yogurt and cheese. And I almost never drink milk, mostly because I don't have the desire to.

I would be very very sad if I couldn't eat dairy.

I could never give up dairy 100%, I love cheese way too much. But my skin looks soooooo good ever since I started cutting back on the dairy so I figure I must be doing something right for myself.

Unless there is a problem with it (allergies, intolerance, etc.) I just don't see the point in giving up delicious foods (and even then, if there's a pill I can take to make it all better, I'm all over that). I hate straight milk, so I don't ever sit down with a glass of it (unless I have a crate of Oreo cookies - although not so much now that Chris makes us buy skim milk - that shit isn't even milk, I don't know why they call it that), cooking with it is fine. Cheese is delicious, so I eat as much as possible.

The only thing wrong with dairy, is that the yummiest parts are quite high in fat. So. It's not a dairy thing, it's a fat thing. Totally different things.

I'm mildly allergic to milk, so I restrict my dairy intake to things that are really worth it, like cheese. It's soy milk for me on cereal and in lattes.

It's not a big deal if I consume dairy, but my mucous load increases, which is more annoying than anything.

I eat copious amounts of cheese, cook with butter and use half & half in my coffee. I used to drink milk a LOT when I was a child, but these days I'll only have a glass of milk if I'm eating some really delicious cake or cookie. I've never noticed a problem with my skin either way.
