I miss knitting and biking.

One I can't do because of my hand, the other I can't do because of winter. :(

Winter biking isn't too bad with proper clothing. Though in the warmer weather we're expecting you could ride with fewer layers.

And I'm missing knitting at the moment too - I hurt my shoulder and really need to rest it. I'm considering taking up smoking to help me deal.

It isn't so much the cold as the lack of light. By time I get home it is too dark to go for a ride and I suppose I could ride home from work now but that would mean me getting up earlier. That is so hard for me in the winter.

I haven't knitted in years. I don't know where this craving came from.

Yeah, I understand the dark. Lights and reflective clothing only go so far - it's really nicer to ride in natural light.

Why don't you buy an exercise bike or one of those thingys (very technical) that lifts up one of the tires so you can bike with your regular bike without actually going anywhere?

I've thought about that but I don't like the bikes at the gym. I like exploring things with my bike.
