The Social Wall

This afternoon, about 3pm, I hit the wall when it comes to being social. To tell you the truth I bet it happened last night but Jill's mom was having a quilting bee for her. (This was a totally awesome idea and a lot of fun).

To tell you the truth I can't believe how good I have been doing this summer. I have only missed a couple things and I haven't let it get to me too much. I have actually had fun meeting lots of new people. I don't think I could have done it a year ago and five years ago I wouldn't even have had the option to do so much.

I am officially canceling any plans I have tomorrow (Sorry brunch people and kitten hanging out people). I am going to go to Menards and buy some paint to paint my linen closet then to Ikea to possibly buy myself a new set of sheets. Then I will come home, and read a book in between coats of paint. Oh, and do some laundry while playing with my kitties.

I have been obsessing about those for weeks and it will totally cheer me up to have new sheets on my bed tomorrow. They aren't even *that* expensive.

Are they sheets, or a duvet-type thing? I have this duvet from Ikea, and I love it. Though in the interest of full disclosure, I'm not displeased with anything I buy from Ikea :P

I would like to buy new sheets, as well, but since I already have 5 or 6 sets, I'm sure Chris would pitch a fit if I even mentioned it, haha.

If you decide you are feeling more social tomorrow, I'm always up for a field trip to Ikea.

Oh, it is a duvet. I will also buy bottom sheets and some pillow cases (I never use a top sheet, just the duvet cover). I have a few sets that are sort of falling apart. Still, I do have too many sets including one that I love but just doesn't fit my style anymore.

Maybe, I was going to offer but I have no idea how I am going to feel tomorrow. Plus I have hair dye for you which might expire before you ever get it!

No pressure. It sounds like you've been a lot more social than I can tolerate, so I certainly understand the desire to hole up by oneself and do solitary activities.
