Burton Hombre

I am not sure how people get "Burton" out of "Bertine".

Also, this weekend when my family went to the restaurant the hostess ask us if we were the "Hombre Family". I don't think people actually read anymore.

Actually she wrote (and I copy and paste), "I don't think people actually read anymore." Do you read or were you trying to see if she reads or were you trying to see if any of us read or... What were you doing?
