[livejournal.com profile] soyouthink asked me five questions. ask me and i'll give you some questions to answer. it is fun!

1. Where did your cats' names come from?
I don't know why but I liked the name Fremont and when I got my first kitty it fit him. Then when I got Emerson I was trying to come up with a name and my coworker at the Theatre suggested Emerson because that was the next street over. I liked it. Harriet was really the only good girl street name in Minneapolis and I liked it.

2. If you didn't live in Minneapolis, where would you live?
I don't know, I have a feeling that I would like most places. I have thought about living in a small town but I think that is just me thinking that small town living is charming. I would like to live near an ocean, I love the ocean.

3. With an unlimited income, what changes would you make to your condo?
ELEVATOR. ok, kidding. I would love to put a roof deck on the building. We have such a great view from there but it just can't be used. :(

4. Did you ever sneak around your parents' back to do anything as a kid?
Not really. I was a good kid.

5. What was the last grocery shopping trip you made like?
i bought turkey, carrots, radishes, some cheese and forgot bread. i think i bought some cat treats too. this was a couple weeks ago so i don't remember. i need to go again because i am out of food.

Also, Harriet has an ulcer on her eye, most likely from a scratch. The vet cleaned it out, gave me some ointment to put in it and will check it again on thursday. Hopefully it will heal in that time because the next thing to do is gross.

I'm guessing swabbing out the eye cost you $200? I hate vets.

Small towns are interesting places to live. Unique, in the same way that your section of Lake is unique. (They're stark contrast to the 2nd and 3rd ring suburbs, with their big box homogeneity)

80, so far. i have another appointment in 3 days, which i will bet will cost the same. i hate them too but what to do?

i like the uniqueness, i don't think i could live in the 2nd or 3rd ring suburbs, but a small town, yes.

You know, it wasn't too long ago, that small towns did have their own identity. Some kinda still do.

But yeah, The White Bear Lake that I grew up in, might as well be Roseville, Saint Louis Park or *shudder* Robbinsdale.
