Good Weekend
Aug. 16th, 2010 10:46 amOther than my allergic reaction, I had a pretty good weekend. Friday I worked from home, which turned out badly (more on that in a seperate post) but I got a $50 Ikea GC for letting IKEA come and take pictures of my house and interview me about how I use my space. Saturday I made bacon and eggs for Zach and I, we watched TV, then we went to the Farmer's Market, Target and Petco. At Petco we used stacking coupons to get the cats their expensive cat food for slight less expensive. Then we tried to watch some movies that were terrible. Ended up watching Hatari and Jaws, which we knew were good.
Sunday Zach and I drove out to Excelsior, MN to take a boat cruise on Lake Minnetonka. The boat cruise was okay. It was really windy so it was hard to enjoy the lake. After the cruise we went to lunch on a place on Water Street. We sat on the sidewalk and watched all the fancy cars drive by. We saw 4 or 5 Porsche, about as many Corvettes, a few Lexus SUVs, one Hummer, some weird Toyota SUV thing, many BMWs and lots of old cars. It was awesome (The food was good too!). Then we went to Southdale where I used more coupons to buy things really cheaply. I also bought a down liner that I have been obsessed with for a year on clearance at Eddie Bauer for $50. Score!
It was a very fun weekend for me, which I needed.
