Hair

I am growing my hair out, including my bangs. This hasn't been hard until the last couple weeks when my bangs are too long to lay right but are too short to pull back behind my ear. IT IS DRIVING ME BONKERS TODAY.

Also, since I started growing my hair out I notice that people treat me differently. I can't exactly put my finger on it but it is weird.

Cooking

You know what one of my favorite things to do is? Peeling beets. The thing about beets is that you have to cook them before you cut them or they will bleed into the water. So you cook them with the stems and root on and then when they are still warm you pull on your water proof apron and gloves and cut off the stem and root and then sort of peel the skin off. It just feels cool. After you are done with that (and the beet has bled all over the sink) you cut them up into chunks.

I love making pickled beets. Almost as much as I love eating them. What is not to love about a vegetable that bleeds?
