CVG TODO!!!!

How did it get to be a month before CVG?

Here is the list of things I want to get done in the next month:

Pull out the hole and shorten the top braces and cover them in foam
Finish Space Invader quilt (just the binding, washing & writing up care instructions)
Enter Space Invader quilt into the Art Show
Fix my Poison Ivy Dress since all the green washed out
Make a skeleton dress with fetus (I really want to do this but I worry about time)
House of Toast stuff
Make a maternity Gotham City Roller Girl shirt
Make & print flyers for the SFGH


I am excited!!!

Bill and I will be hosting a last-minute costuming day the Sunday before CVG, like I have in past years. It should be way more fun this year with so much more space and better air conditioning. Maybe some of your costuming stuff could be accomplished then?

The skeleton dress one might be a good one to do then. it is a nice to have but I won't be terribly sad if it doesn't happen.

I am actually pretty happy with this list. I think I am going to go to michaels when I get over this headache and see what green paint stuff I have for the poison ivy dress, I think that will be pretty easy. I might start packing costume supplies also.

I am super excited about CVG this year!

I am having a hard time getting excited for it. All I can seem to think about when I think about CVG is heat and crowds. I am hoping that getting started on Bill's new costume will help.

A thought for the skeleton dress: a good way to do x-ray-looking skeleton decoration on clothing is to take black cotton clothes and paint on them with bleach. I helped my mom do this when she was doing costume design for a play and she needed lots of skeleton costumes. They turned out really cool!

For Convergence, glow-in-blacklight would probably be sufficient, but glow-in-the-dark might be cool for other purposes.
