I have been here for 5 months and I can't believe how much better I am at what I do (front-end development) than I was when I started.
I just went into a project I worked on when I first started and it is so different than now. This project was an HTML4 site and I did my CSS very differently and I didn't understand the box model as well as I do now. Also, I am much better at jQuery.
I am really happy that this place has lived up to my expectations and allowed me to hone my craft. I am starting to feel like an expert at this. A real expert that is up to date on all the techniques and best practices. I know why I am doing something and why some people don't use it.
The thing I am learning about now is how browsers render pages and where the slowness happens.
My job change was a very good thing!
