condo remodel updates
Jan. 12th, 2015 10:11 amThis weekend I got a good amount of work done.
I got the majority of the walls patched. I have a couple more layers to do over a really bad spot and a few holes that I didn't patch until yesterday. I am hoping to get them done tonight. I'll sand once my contacts get in because I don't want to damage my new glasses.
I bought a new toilet on Saturday (it was on sale!) and removed the old one. When I did that a bunch of tiles came up with the toilet, so I had to repair that before I could put the new one in. I got that done yesterday and grouted it last night, so I should also be able to get that done tonight.
I also removed the tile from our main shower window because I am overly ambitious. Also, I was pretty sure it was leaking and if I am going to repair it, I have to do it when Zach isn't around because I'll just take baths while it dries and he would be taking showers. The plan is to paint it tonight with a couple coats of oil based primer and then tile it with larger tile that would have less places to fail.
If that doesn't take up my entire night, I am going to spend some time scraping wallpaper off the one wall I didn't patch. There is nothing glamorous about wallpaper.
The ceiling dude starts tomorrow, which makes me really excited. Things are going to start looking good! Woo!!
