I recently bought a brand new 2010 mazda6. I then crashed it when it had about 2000 miles on it. It now has a little over 3000 miles on it. Also, they did a really good job repairing it. I can't tell it was in an accident at all. I suppose that is because I was lucky on the accident I had and didn't hit anything important.

My mazda replaced a 2000 Saturn SL1 named Hoopty that had 135000 miles on it that once was hit by a bus while parked on the street and never drove the same after wards. Not that it was fun to drive before it was hit.

Before Hoopty I didn't own a car. I rode my bike everywhere and took the bus. It is funny to think that 10 years ago I was too cheap to buy a car. Then when I bought one I bought one that was cheap and just got me from point A to point B and now I have a car that can fit kids and is nice to drive.

Weekend

Nov. 22nd, 2010 11:00 am
My weekend was pretty awesome. Friday I had to work late because my massive check-in wasn't going well. However, when I got home Zach and I had pizza and watched TV. Saturday morning we got up, cleaned the house, went to the store and bought a turkey, and then went to the casino!

The casino was a lot of fun. Everyone there was really nice. We got $50 in "free" slot play, an hour of bowling, $10 of arcade play and $10 off at one of their restaurants. Plus it was my birthday month so I got even more extras. So while we were expecting to spend an extra $50 each, I walked out with $30 which I spent on pizza for my friends.

BTW, I am really cheap and don't enjoy losing money. Also, I don't like bingo as much as I used to and I think next time I go to a casino I am going to play more blackjack. The hotel room was nice, I hated smelling like smoke. There was a band to watch and a pool that we didn't swim in because we forgot our swimsuits. :(

After we got back home [livejournal.com profile] damncutekitty, [livejournal.com profile] lisianthia and [livejournal.com profile] marioche69 came over to watch "Say Yes to the Dress" with me. Zach left and watch football with my dad. I guess there was too much estrogen for him.

Now I just have a three day work week to get through and Zach's parents will be in town! Woo! My house is starting to get clean enough for them. Only a couple more rooms to clean/dust.

Cravings

I want eggnog.

I also want to ask the people that wrote this site if they have been cyrogenically frozen for 10 years because I haven't seen a website written like this for at least that long.

Quilting

Nov. 22nd, 2010 05:17 pm
On Friday and Saturday I cut out a bunch of quilt blocks for my mom's quilt. I am going to make her this quilt except I am only going to use 6 fabrics instead of 12. I am a rebel (also I couldn't find 12 funky flower patterns like this).

"New Wave Quilt"

I have just a couple more blocks to cut out and I have to buy more of sashing since I wasn't paying attention to the width of the fabic when I bought it and I need about 1/4 yard more.

I am excited about this. It is much smaller than Serinia's quilt which is taking forever and that I stopped working on until I bought a 1/4 inch foot. Also, I am really scared to actually quilt things. I need to make some potholders to practice.

BTW, I really want a camera that uploads to the internet from it so I can take better pictures than my cellphone takes. I am too lazy to upload things to my computer anymore.
