Well, maybe I am. I want to read this book and see what the authors arguement are against marriage. From the review it seems to have to do with love nad the expectations love puts on any relationship. To bad I ordered a bunch of books from amazon yesterday (and a bra, stupid amazon). It'll have to wait until next months batch of books.

I think I've had about a half dozen arguements with you about marriage. I think we are both anti-marriage, but for totally different, though in some ways similar, reasons.

Agrguments Against Marriage?

I'm curious what are people's arguments against marriage? I read the entire article. Her notion that you can't leave the house without telling your spouse where you are going well that's laughable. If she or anyone picked a mate who reacts that way that's her problem. Not all spouses are that way. I think the main reason people have problems in their marriage is because they choose incompatible people to be married to.

Anyway feel free to come on over & post on my journal too.

I think the main problem with marriage, which this article didn't go into (and i have never been married so i might be crazy) is that ou put these huge expectations on being married. that once you get married everything will be set and things are easy. that this person that you love will never be mean to you in any way and you will never be mean to them.

you are still people with issues and moods and lives and when people forget that they go into marriage unprepared.
