stupid city of minneapolis

so, i still have no idea why i was towed on friday. according to everything i have read and everyone i have talked to the city of minneapolis can't tow you for expired registration until you are over 90 days. i was maybe 4 days over that and i had one current one. i don't have any outstanding tickets or any other reason to be towed. i just filled out the form to get my money back.

i have been reading up on this issue and i guess my neighborhood is a popular place to tow from, which makes sense since this is the second time in less than 6 months. the first time i'll admit was partially my fault but this time makes no sense at all.

i am pissed.

I am convinced that Minneapolis tows people just for kicks. I got towed for an idiotic reason back in September. Maybe I can also blame them for stealing my car, getting it back, having to pay $225 cash to get it out of the tow yard, and then having it get hit in a hit and run accident less than two months later in exactly the same place it was stolen from.

oh, i am getting my money back.

i got towed in september too, for street cleaning. it pissed me off. minneapolis says they lose money on towing but i am convinced they are lying.

Did they not TELL you why you got towed when you went to claim it?

they told me, one of my tabs fell off. i got a ticket and they towed me

however, it isn't a towing offense. it isn't even really a ticketing offense since one was on and it wasn't expired over 90 days. the ticket is all taken care of and i have filled out all the forms. i should get my money back, it just sucked that i had to deal with it all.

coding. it should be awesome, i liked the department when i was interviewing and it is exactly what i love to do. it is weird that it is hourly but that is ok, i can get overtime then. (very weird to me).

Ya, Hourly is good. I work an average of 5-10 hours of OT a week, It would suck if I was salary...

nah, just cut back my hours. i like to work alot.

i don't know, salary is good, i used to be able to cut out early alot, it was nice.

Well, If you got a job that allows that, Salary is great. My last job I was Salary and I could come and go as work demanded but I often had to travel out of town for days at a time and then salary sucks!
