Winter
March is my least favorite month. I feel like winter just hold on and won't let go. My mother-in-law posted about how Billings is going to hit 70° today and we are looking at 40°. I was actually excited about 40° until I read her post.
The worst thing about winter here is the fact that there is no sun. I just want some warm sun. I want to be able to go outside. I want to get out of my house.
I daydream about having a house so I can have a garden but the growing season is so short here. I know I can get a lot in those short few months but I read some blogs where people are already planting outside. We still have at least a foot of snow and it snowed this morning. So not time to do anything outside.
My sister-in-law and I have talked about bringing my niece to the Zoo this weekend. That will be fun but since it is supposed to be in the 20s we still won't be going outside. It is too bad, my favorite part is the prairie dogs and they are outside away from the building.

I started planting things indoors last weekend. You could definitely do windowsill herbs where you are.

I hate February for the reasons you describe, but in March, we actually do start to warm up. It's 40 degrees and sunny today! I like March. It's the light at the end of the tunnel.
