Bus

This morning I took the bus to work. It went really well. I forgot how nice it was to walk to the bus stop through the park. I only had about a 10 minute wait downtown and it was pretty nice to be on I394 without having to drive it. The only sucky part was the 0.9 mile walk to my office. This wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't been so hot out.

On the way back I take a different bus that is much closer to my office. This will be nice since it is going to be even hotter than.

Walking to the bus stop counts as exercise. So now your neurologist will be happy.

Good point. I do have to do the math on if it is worth it. I have to take an express bus so it is $3 each way.

Monthly passes might save you a few dollars. Also if you stop using your car to commute you might qualify for an insurance discount. But the decreased stress, decreased risk of accidents from no longer driving with a migraine, and just that little bit of you time each day (to read, make lists, make hexies, take naps, listen to spotify, etc) could be worth more in the long run.

I use about a gallon of gas a day so let's say that is $3.75 compared to $6. However, there is a lot to be said about less wear and tear on my car.

Another upside is we can have a car free when we (finally) sell Zach's car. If Zach rides his bike and I take the bus there will always be a car for whoever needs it.

Also, I could get a hexie done everyday I rode the bus. That would be pretty awesome. Plus being able to get to work while having a migraine would be nice. It is usually the inability to drive that keeps me home.

Yeah you picked the wrong day to be outside. But keep at it! (:

Oh, I know it is the wrong day. That walk was much sweatier than it should have been.
