Hells yes. I'm a fan of dystopia/societal collapse kind of stuff (which often pops up in YA lit), and enjoyed them a lot. I was worried it would be a rip-off of Battle Royale, but aside from sharing a central plot device, they're very different.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Royale_%28film%29
That is what I was wondering. I like Battle Royale and didn't want a new verison of it. I have read that it is more of a retelling of the Theseus myth, which I really like about it.
Yes, I've read all three books and found them compelling. Anyone who reduces the story to a love triangle is absolutely missing the points of the book.
After reading the books, I recommend reading "The Girl Who Was on Fire," a compilation of 12 short essays about various aspects of the book, written by other authors.
I've read them and they're great. Starts out stronger than it finishes, but it's a quick, engaging read and it isn't really that similar to Battle Royale.

I've not read them but this teacher lady at the dog park says that A. They're Great, and B. You can read them all in one weekend.
