We just had a marathon supernatural watching. Zach hadn't seen it and I stopped watching when I started him in the middle of the 4th season. The 6th season is spotty but this season is pretty okay.
The Vampire Diaries can take a couple of episodes to get into. (I believe the consensus is four.) But I like it a lot.
Supernatural was supposed to end after season five, so I like to pretend that it did. The bits of season six that I saw were so infuriatingly terrible that I can't bring myself to watch the rest in order to catch up to season seven, which I hear is pretty good. So in my head it ended with Sam in hell, which is really too bad. :(
I had my heart set on Sam and Dean ending the series sitting in rocking chairs on a porch somewhere, misremembering their adventures, so I'm not happy about that either!
The season 5 ending would have been a good place to end the show. Still, the end of season 6 was also good. I just don't think they knew where they were going.

Community is my new favorite TV show, but I gave up on Supernatural over a year ago. :(

Plus, some of the "super-powers" are really lame and funny.
