Snow

I am sick of it. How about you?

[identity profile] seattleforge.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Not really. Then again.. we've not had much. ;-P

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
We keep having these small snows of 1-3 inches. I swear it is twice a week. I am just done with brushing off my car.

[identity profile] avecvu.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
We're supposed to get 18 inches of it between tonight and tomorrow. It's only our second big snowstorm this year, but... yes. I am tired of it.

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
Big snow storms are one thing but these little ones are driving me bonkers.

[identity profile] avecvu.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, when you are considered "essential personnel" and staying home isn't really an option, then it is the big snowstorms that are the problem.

[identity profile] heathrow.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
This is my third day of being trapped in my house with my family, so YES.

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
I know you guys don't really have the infrastructure to deal with the snow you got but 5inches of snow is nothing up here. We got 2 or 3 today and I didn't even shovel because it isn't enough to worry about. I'll take a picture of my parking spot for you tomorrow. ;)

[identity profile] heathrow.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
It's not the snow as it is the inch of ice on top. The ice came a day later, and we keep refreezing slush every night. The 8 true plows for the state kill us during these events. This much snow is an every few year Thing. We get ice. We usually warm up pretty fast, so it melts with a day. This 5 day at or below freezing is awful.

We don't have the infrastructure because it us rare for us. Last time we got this much in the metro area was almost 10 years ago.

[identity profile] sterlingphoenix.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm OK with the snow, honestly. It's the getting really REALLY friggin cold that I don't like.

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
Good point, at least we haven't had a deep freeze yet this year.

[identity profile] bubblemonkey.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, we had the blizzard the day after Christmas and we're supposed to get hammered pretty good tonight again. I would be sick of it if I actually had someplace to go. HA! ;)

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
We just keep getting these small annoying snowfalls of a couple inches that are enough to making driving suck.

[identity profile] messyjessy.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 04:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm jealous! Its cold here (well, for Albuquerque), so we might as well have some snow.

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
I'll send you some.

[identity profile] elphabachan.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I am sick of it, yes. I think this is the Twin Cities third snowiest winter on record??? And winter isn't over yet. :-P

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
I just want to drive to work without worrying about getting hit!

[identity profile] styletax.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Totally over it. If I could snowboard this year, it would be a different story. But I can't. So it's not. ARGH COME ON SPRING. Maybe we'll have another snow-less March like last year?

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
Wouldn't that be great? That was a nice March.

[identity profile] sacramentalist.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
It hasn't been too bad here. We somehow manage to miss both the east coast and midwest storms.

But I feel for you. I do.

[identity profile] sacramentalist.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
Grrr. The whole ride home, I ate these words.

Stupid snow!

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
I am sorry. Both my commutes sucked.

[identity profile] sterlingphoenix.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Also we really, REALLY need the precipitation. Maybe the lakes won't be as unbelievably disgusting this summer.

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
I know we need it but I hate driving in it.

[identity profile] sterlingphoenix.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
I hear you. Move to the suburbs (;

[identity profile] snurri.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm OK with the snow--in fact I like it--but I am sick of the winter.

How's that for a contradictory statement?

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
I am the opposite, I am OK with winter, just not the snow.

[identity profile] theophania-79.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I was just thinking this morning how I'm finally sick of winter, no longer enjoying it like I was when it first began. I think this always happens to me each January.

[identity profile] lonely-doll.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. Yes, I am.

[identity profile] shewenttoitaly.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sick of the clusterfuck the snow keeps causing in Atlanta, which REALLY disrupts my whole life, haha. I've come to terms with the snow in Minneapolis, though I cannot wait until spring.

[identity profile] saphirepassion.livejournal.com 2011-01-11 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
If I could take a vacation to Walt Disney World right now I totally would take a long weekend there. So then I could escape our snowy weather here in MN. :)

[identity profile] absenthine.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
I wish we would get some REAL snow and not just 1/4" of freezing drizzle once a month. Real, big, fat snowflakes, please!

[identity profile] kevelyn63.livejournal.com 2011-01-14 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
I don't mind it. I wonder what we'll get next, and how high the snow mountains will actually get this year.
