Crabby

I am really crabby about the lack of plowing. I am hoping that when I go out tomorrow that my alley will magically be plowed because the apartments on the other side of the alley decided that a good place to put all the snow from their parking spaces was the alley right in front of my parking space. There is no way I am getting out until they plow.

I can take Zach's car and even if the alley is plowed I am sure I will but they haven't plowed most of the streets around here already. It is annoying me. I am not even that annoyed at the city but all the people that sort of just park their cars in the middle of the street or half-heartily on the side of the street so I am not sure how it would be possible to get a car down the street.

SIGH. I am just whining, it isn't that bad, I am just not looking forward to getting up early tomorrow to shovel more snow and then coming home to shovel even more.

22nd got plowed, but only on my side of Lyndale. The intersection of Lyndale and 22nd is a nightmare. Garfield Ave did not get plowed at all.

I think it's bad everywhere. There are tons of angry comments to all of the Mpls Snow Emergency update posts on facebook.

Yeah, I saw that. I know they are doing their job, I just want to get to work tomorrow.

I heard they are thinking about a second snow emergency. I think this is a good idea.

Yeah it's a good idea, but where are all the cars supposed to go on day one when we can't park on snow emergency routes? They are already plowed and parakble, but if we have to move them to the non plowed, non snow emergency routes, even more people will get stuck and the whole problem of immovable cars will only be made worse. I think they should only enforce the rules for days 2 and 3 (but that would just add to everyone's confusion).

And the snow emergency routes by my house (i.e. 31st) are terrible. You can only fit one car down them right now and they really do need to be plowed again.

It's just that there's SO much snow. I saw dump trucks downtown trying to haul the snow away which was a good thing because the piles on the curbs were up to the top of the sign posts. Eep!

I know, I know. I will have to take a picture of the alley. Here is what it looked like this morning:
