My car is back!!

I picked up my car this morning. The only sign that it was in an accident is the rip in the license plate.

I was nervous when I was driving it at first but then I remembered that I bought this car because I love driving it. I am still not super fond of driving but I am getting better. Driving down the California coast last week really helped because I think I just need time behind the wheel to feel less nervous.

Also, I am sorting out all my insurance right now. It is funny how sometimes I am really good at being an adult.

. . . I think I just need time behind the wheel to feel less nervous.
How true it is. My mother was in a severely traumatizing accident and went from being a rather good driver to one who was so timid that it was scary to be a passenger with her behind the wheel and she was reluctant to drive unless absolutely necessary.

Then her mother's health went into decline and she was driving to rural Iowa and back every other weekend for several months. After just a couple of these trips she was back to being a great driver again. This all took place over the span of about an eight year period, mind you.

I am debating just driving somewhere out in the country next Saturday morning just to get some miles with me in the car. I am not as timid as I was right after the accident but I am still not as confident as I was.
