Working From Home

Today I am working from home. I am doing this because they are redoing our office and giving us some more room so we can get a couple more people. I am hoping that we get better cubes so I can think better but I am not sure how it will be yet.

Anyways, it is weird to be home all day. Zach made me coffee this morning. Two of the cats don't care at all and Harriet is happy that she can lay on the desk watch me work. I gave her a couple of goldfish crackers for lunch. I am pretty sure it was the best day ever for her. Now if I could just keep her from thinking that my laptop keyboard was a good napping place.

I have spent part of the day installing Windows 7 on my home computer. It isn't hard, just letting it run. The upgrade was very easy and even though I was upgrading from XP it kept a lot of my setting. Good job Microsoft! This makes me think it won't be so painful when I have to upgrade my work machine later this month. However, I know better since I have a Visual Studio installed on it.

You guys are going to Windows 7 at work???

I don't see my work switching form XP anytime soon... and the funny thing is apparently we can get macs now!

This is good to note about the Windows 7 thing!

I got a new laptop four months ago with Windows 7 on it. It seems to work fine but I Curse Them! for not only putting most of the settings in different places under unfamiliar menus, but also renaming them as well.
