That's one of the reasons I'm stoked to move in with Chris - after two years of carting stuff back and forth, all our things will be in the same place! (though it did get easier when he moved to Minneapolis instead of living in godforsaken Plymouth.)
TOTALLY! Also, it got to the point where I was like, why am I paying rent for my apartment, you know? I would stop in there now and then and grab some clean clothes and head back to lonely_doll's place. I think I lived in my place like Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday or something like that.
Plus, no matter how hard we'd try to beat rush hour, poor James was always having to sit in traffic - this was when I lived on Franklin and Hennepin, and he was in St. Louis Park - there is no non-traffic-heavy way to get from one place to another.
I hear you! My biggest thing is keeping track of two kitchens.. which ingredients to make what are where???
My house has the better stocked kitchen, his has all the fun electronic toys. And his house is much bigger than the tiny postage stamp of a house that I own, so all entertaining has to be at his place. So I do a lot of hauling stuff back and forth.
But still.. there's part of me that LIKES having my own place to go to once in a while. We decided that we should just buy a duplex.. LOL.
I am not really being subtle. :P It was just an observation that it gets old having to remember which place something is or figuring out what the plans most nights are.
Also, being able to plan food better. Right now we sort of just buy whatever we want to eat that night so I am sure we spend a lot of money on food that we don't have to.

Plus there is the whole, it would be nice if you lived here since it is 11:30 at night and I don't want to drive to your house to sleep thing.

You could do what a couple of my friends do. They each have their own room to retreat to.
