Dating

Now I get why people move in together. The logistics of having some stuff at one place and some stuff at the other can get overwhelming.

Only if you're into hygene and pyjamas.

And if you're a tart. I KID, I KID!!

I was talking about dinner makings and movies, of course. :P

Oh that! Yes, of course.

That's one of the reasons I'm stoked to move in with Chris - after two years of carting stuff back and forth, all our things will be in the same place! (though it did get easier when he moved to Minneapolis instead of living in godforsaken Plymouth.)

I have only been doing it for 6 months but it is already a frustration (well, not too much of one but you get it).

Plus there is the whole, it would be nice if you lived here since it is 11:30 at night and I don't want to drive to your house to sleep thing.

TOTALLY! Also, it got to the point where I was like, why am I paying rent for my apartment, you know? I would stop in there now and then and grab some clean clothes and head back to [livejournal.com profile] lonely_doll's place. I think I lived in my place like Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday or something like that.

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2009-08-20 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly! We pretty much live at my place Saturday Night - Monday Morning and his house when he isn't cooking and my house when he is.

Plus, no matter how hard we'd try to beat rush hour, poor James was always having to sit in traffic - this was when I lived on Franklin and Hennepin, and he was in St. Louis Park - there is no non-traffic-heavy way to get from one place to another.

Living together is awesome, though! :-D

I'd be stuck in the car on Minnetonka Blvd. going OMG YOU GUYS HURRY UP SO I CAN SEE MY SWEEEEEETIE. :-D

[identity profile] scorpi084.livejournal.com 2009-08-20 01:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I admit, it's mostly laziness. :)

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2009-08-20 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
It is just so much more convient. I feel like I had TWO houses right now!

[identity profile] stegosaur.livejournal.com 2009-08-20 01:43 pm (UTC)(link)
That, and the fact that someone is making me lunch right now while I read the internet.

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2009-08-20 01:50 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL. He makes me dinner most nights at my place then we debate if I am going to stay at my house or go to his place.

[identity profile] sharya.livejournal.com 2009-08-20 01:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup. So.... does this mean you'll be taking your relationship to the next step? :P

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2009-08-20 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I need to write a long post about that. It isn't quite that easy

[identity profile] chelejean.livejournal.com 2009-08-20 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I hear you! My biggest thing is keeping track of two kitchens.. which ingredients to make what are where???

My house has the better stocked kitchen, his has all the fun electronic toys. And his house is much bigger than the tiny postage stamp of a house that I own, so all entertaining has to be at his place. So I do a lot of hauling stuff back and forth.

But still.. there's part of me that LIKES having my own place to go to once in a while. We decided that we should just buy a duplex.. LOL.

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2009-08-20 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I see Zach doing that all the time, except his spices seem to be migrating to my house pretty quickly since I have a much bigger kitchen. :D

You could do what a couple of my friends do. They each have their own room to retreat to.

Hey I can't really be ELABORATE when I'm commenting on how subtle you're being!

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2009-08-20 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I am not really being subtle. :P It was just an observation that it gets old having to remember which place something is or figuring out what the plans most nights are.

[identity profile] melissa-maples.livejournal.com 2009-08-22 02:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Also: only paying one set of bills instead of two, and then putting the other half of the money toward things like trips and new computers and stuff.

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2009-08-22 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Very good point.

Also, being able to plan food better. Right now we sort of just buy whatever we want to eat that night so I am sure we spend a lot of money on food that we don't have to.
