Woo

My car is working again. Eric was able to get it started this afternoon and when I put a new battery in it started. Plus while the battery was 5 years old it was supposed to last for 7 years so I got $25 dollars taken off (yay for saving receipts!). So this whole thing cost me $50.

Then I ordered my new vacuum. Yay!

Now I am going to eat Chinese and watch Law & Order and just be happy with the world.

What vacuum did you order?

This one.

I am so sick of cat hair not getting out of my rugs.

Still keep an eye on it for a few days. A bad alternator could lead to a dead battery. Installing a fully charged battery would allow you to start the car until it's drained again. You can kind of check the alternator yourself by turning on your headlights, have someone rev your car and see if the lights get brighter when it's reving up and dimmer when it's idling. If so you should have your alternator checked.

We checked the alternator by disconnecting the battery and jumping it to see if it still ran. It did. :D
