Um...

I was just commenting in [livejournal.com profile] damncutekitty's lj and all of a sudden it hit me that I am closer to 33 than 32 and when did I get to be this age? I really don't feel that much older than 25, despite my funny comments about how I am getting old.

Wow, at some point I am going to have to decide what I want to do in life, won't I?

You're only 20 in hexadecimal. There's no magic age where you "have to grow up". Malcom Forbes learned to ride motorcycles when he was 72.

I know, I know. Plus I am pretty much living my life the way I want to. It was just one of those moments where you redefine what you think of the age you are.

And 33 is 0x21 -- party like its a decimal number!

Hey, I'm turning 40 and I don't know, either.

Really? I never think of you as that much older than me. <3

I think I have an idea of what I want and I am pretty sure I will get it all, I just feel behind so often. :\

pffffffffffffffffffffffft. Just a sprout. You will find that when you need to be the whole tree you will.

I am 56. Still going on 25. when I am not going on 190.

Let 'growing up' take care of itself. breath, journey, learn, love, live.

Wait... you have career. AND a condo that's almost paid for. You are so much more of a grownup than like, me for example.

But I don't feel like a grownup, which isn't a bad thing I suppose.

As long as you act like one when you have to, I think it's OK to not feel like one. =)

and me!

But don't you feel better than you did at 25? Emotionally speaking? I know I do. Lots and lots better.

[identity profile] bertine.livejournal.com 2009-07-13 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I do! Trust me, I don't want to get younger.

I once asked my mom when I could expect to actually feel like a grown up. She laughed and said that when I did, I should tell her, because she wanted to know what that was like. Ever since then, I've kind of felt like being Grown Up is kind of overrated!
