Yeah, the final result was 13.50 on my card. That is just strange.

It's so weird, isnt' it?? Stuff like that used to confuse me something awful before I figured out what was going on.

It also took me a while to realize that when I use a generic cash machine, not only does the machine charge me $2 or whatever, but the bank also charges me $3. Therefore, I NEVER use the wrong machine unless I absolutely have to.

often restaurants will preauthorize the amount plus average tip to make sure that amount of money is available on your card. Then when the charge goes through it is for the actual amount.
