You know - this perplexes the hell outta me. This is the third case of this I've encountered. Different PC, different browser, no matter. Works fine for me and 99% of everyone else.

Normally when you get the white "internet screen of death", it's because of a database script timeout. But I've been online at the same time as someone who gets the white screen and it still works for me and not them. Furthermore, I'm watching my own server stats and see nothing out of the ordinary.

A total conundrum - I'm all ears for any ideas on this...

You might try spawning a new IP from your router and see if that works.

Comcast usually give me the same IP address if I renew the lease, unless I leave my connection down for a while. Which I'm not going to do right now (;

If I try a raw connection (just telnet to port 80) I do actually get stuff back - which is more than the browser gets! But it looks like a response from something running virtual servers and I'm not sending any headers for that so I'm probably getting the default response.

I'd think that if a database was down I'd at least see some kinda HTML come back at me.

If you want some help debugging, check your logs for my current ip (24.118.45.11) around Midnight central time, I'm hitting Reload a whole lot of times right now.

Oh and your site DOES set a cookie before nothing else happens. So we're getting SOME response but no HTML.

Thanks for trying to help diagnose this. I see your IP in my server logs, but there's no error and it shows a packet delivery of 0 bytes. As too everyone else having deliveries of whatever size the html request was. So clearly that's why it's a blank page. As to a reason why? You got me, there are no hung processes or other smoking guns.

I notice that your IP does not show up in my site logs however. This begins to convince me that it does not have to do with my site installation or php coding, but rather a server/client issue.

Still at a loss. And now am getting sleepy...
