The philodendron* that lives in my shower (I have a full window in there) started flowering this weekend. I guess I didn't even realize that philodendron would flower since I have never seen one. It is very fragrant and is making me sneeze but I don't want to cut the flowers off because it is so cool that it is blooming.

*I am not actually sure it is a philodendron. I just have always sort of assumed it is.

Update I am pretty sure my plant is a Hoya (carnosa). Who knew?

b)I'm not sure it is a philodendron. Mine doesn't do that.
c) I guess a shower would be a great place for a plant because it's sunny, humid, and fairly warm.

a) It has lived in my showers for years!
b) It is pretty old, I think I have had it for 10 years and it never did this before!
c) Exactly. I even have opaque glass so it is filtered light. Perfect for my plant (My only plant, actually)

Ah, I used to have a shower with a window - how I miss that. Gorgeous flower, whatever it is.

I love the window. In the morning the sun comes in and makes the water all pretty with little rainbows and it is one of my favorite things ever!

Ok, so I think my plant is a hoya, which means it is about to bloom all over because it matured. Also, when the flowers fall off they will just rebloom. Now I have to decide if I like the smell or not.

Emerson is good at taking care of kittens. He cleans him and Harriet plays with him. They were all sleeping on the bed together when I got home last night. It was SO CUTE.

That last one is so precious! It's so nice to hear that she's been getting along with your other cats.
